Pretty cool place to hang around, it is self service based, and a very relaxed ambient with sand floor, right next to the river. Espresso is not so good, but they have variety of beers, so I guess you can find one for your taste. Good thing is a huge parking lot right across the street, so the location is great, although many would bike to this one usually, but for tourists it helps a lot.

The vibes at this beach bar is quite nice and calm to sit inside or outside, but the service is a bit too slow, they are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic place to take children. Especially if you want a quiet drink. 😅 like a hidden paradise, just minutes away from the city centre of Alkmaar. My family and I go here often and never had a bad time. …

They used to have the most amazing burrata salad with olives and caponata. Now they changed the menu and don't have it anymore. It's the most disappointing thing as their new burrata salada with cucumber is not even close in flavour to the previous :( Unfortunately I don't have a reason to return anymore

Nice ambience and view over the pier. The beer and cocktail selection is limited. But the beer is good and the cocktails are decent. They have some nice food to go along with your drinks. I recommend the Loaded Fries and the Burger.

Great hidden gem. Nice to spend time on their “beach” on a sunny day. Lots of character and interesting decor. Family friendly as well. Good cocktails and food.

What an extraordinary out of the ordinary place in the center of town! On a Sunny day there is no better place to eat or drink in Alkmaar. The food and drinks are fine but what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere they've created.
